Street Trading Legislation
Street trading is defined as the selling or offering for sale of any article in the street. This includes food such as burgers, kebabs or doughnuts but other things such as household items or flowers may be sold. All streets in Loughborough Town Centre are designated as consent streets. This means that any person who wishes to sell items from a trailer or stall in a street must first obtain a street trading consent from us.
There are two types of consent and these are street trading consent and Promotional unit consent:
Street Trading Consent
This is for the sale of goods and services which have the following categories:
- Daily (food) £36.70
- Daily (non-food) £26.20
- Annual (food) £1359.50
- Annual (non-food) £940.90
Promotional Unit Consent
This is for promotion of services that are not for sale e.g. for information only.
- An administration Fee £26.20 is charged for this service.
An additional charge for an electric supply will be applied where applicable ,details provided on application (see related documents below).
