Stage 4 - Consideration of Representations

The representations made with regard to the draft SPD were summarised and a response was made to those representations. These, along with recommendations to amend the draft SPD, were considered and approved by a meeting of Cabinet held on 24th November 2005.

Stage 3b - Public Participation 2

A revised draft Student Housing Provision in Loughborough SPD incorporating the preferred option – Threshold model - was published for a 4 week period of public consultation between 30th September and 28th October 2005. A sustainability appraisal and a statement of consultation was published alongside the draft SPD:

Stage 3a - Consideration of Representations on Six Options

The representations made with regard to the six options set out in the draft SPD were summarised and a response was made to those representations. These, along with recommendations to adopt a preferred approach of ‘Option 5 - Threshold Model’, were considered and approved by a meeting of Cabinet held on 21st July 2005.

Stage 3 - Public Participation 1

A draft Student Housing Provision SPD was published for public consultation between 10th February and 24th March 2005. The draft SPD set out six options for developing a planning approach to manage the location and extent of student housing, both managed and private rented, in Loughborough.

A sustainability appraisal, a statement of consultation, and reports prepared by Atkins Consultants Ltd, engaged to assist the Council, were published alongside the draft SPD:
