South Charnwood Transport Assessment, April 2009
Charnwood Borough Council commissioned consultants MVA to prepare Transport Assessments to provide a better understanding of the broad transport implications of the various options for Sustainable Urban Extensions north of Leicester and around Loughborough. The Assessments prepared, in consultation with the highway authorities and key stakeholders, will be key elements of the evidence base for the Submission version of the Charnwood 2026 Core Strategy.
MVA Consultancy have now completed the 'South Charnwood Transport Assessment' for growth options on the northern edge of Leicester. A copy of the Assessment is available to download below:

The north Charnwood study is expected to be completed and available to download here this summer.
Charnwood Transport Assessment, September 2008
In 2008 Charnwood Borough Council commissioned consultants MVA to undertake a Charnwood Transport Assessment. This includes an assessment of the broad transport implications of potential growth options that could help meet known needs for housing and employment related development in the period to 2026. The assessment will form a key part of the evidence base for the Local Development Framework.

Leicestershire County Council Highways and Transportation Assessments December 2006 & April 2007
In December 2006 Leicestershire County Council published an Assessment of the Highways and Transportation Implications of Sustainable Urban Extensions at Selected Broad Locations in Leicestershire. A Further Assessment was also published in April 2007. These assessments were undertaken to inform the preparation of the East Midlands Regional Plan and are available to download below:
