**Warm Front Scheme Changes**

With effect from 23rd April 2009, several changes have been agreed which may affect any ongoing applications, or those where approval has issued for the Warm Front grant and (where applicable) the Council's Top-Up grant.

  • Where gas central heating is required the maximum amount is now £3,500 (was £2,700.00)
  • Where oil central heating is required the maximum amount is now £6,000 (was £4,000.00)

For applications made as of 23rd April 2009, the new grant maximum levels will apply, and applications can proceed as normal. If you have already paid a contribution but have had no work completed, your application will be re-processed at the new grant maximum level. The length of time the customer will have to wait for the work to be completed will not be affected by this change.

For customers who have previously had work carried out by Warm Front, re-applications can be made if additional work is now required(for example, insulation where it was not covered previously or you were unable to pay the contribution). The new grant maximum levels will apply for these applications.So.if you had a full grant of £2,700.00 and new work is needed, any grant would be a maximum of £800.00

If you have any questions regarding these changes and how it will affect your application, please contact Warm Front directly on the number above.
