Where is air quality measured in Charnwood?
Since the late 1990s we have been steadily expanding and improving our air quality monitoring network around Charnwood, focusing on areas where our investigations have led us to believe that poor air quality may be a threat to health.
Through this network we are seeing a picture of how air quality is changing and evolving. More importantly we are building up evidence and knowledge to allow us to positively influence the way in which changes in the area happen in order to protect and improve the air we all breath.
The information from our monitoring locations has been critical to help produce our air quality reports since 2001.
We also publish interim result updates of our monitoring activities in a periodic update that can also be found on that page.
