Youth Games
The Youth Games concept was started in 1999 to celebrate the Millenium and since then it has become an annual event involving thousands of school children from across Leicestershire and Rutland. Each Local Authority area through their Sports Development Officer, work in partnership with local schools and community sports clubs select teams to represent their area. The selection process works in different ways depending on where you live and is carried out through school competitions, district trials and personal nominations.

I would also like to thank the many coaches who gave their time leading up to the event providing coaching and also on the day acting as team managers. “Without their support and dedication it would not have been possible to have such a large team on the day.”
