Charnwood Domestic Violence Panel
Rosemary Monk is the Charnwood Domestic Violence Co-ordinatorand is based at John Storer House. Rosemary leads the Charnwood Domestic Violence Panel to campaign and stop incidences of domestic violence in Charnwood.
The forum is working with a wide range of organisations including the Housing Department at Charnwood Borough Council, the Police, Victim Support, Women's Aid, the Health Authority and local schools.

Handy Van Scheme

The primary objective of the HandyVan is to make vulnerable older people’s homes more safe and secure, thus reducing the risk of loss through burglary and providing
peace of mind.

- Aged over 60
- Less than £20,000 savings
- Living in the districts of Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth or North West Leicestershire

Environmental Action Day

Environmental Action Day involved a huge clean up campaign in central Loughborough. The aim was to clear rubbish in order to help prevent secondary fires as well as illustrate the positive effects on a cleaner neighbourhood. Charnwood Borough Council's Community Safety Team, Cleansing and Housing & Health departments and Leicestershire Fire Services were directly involved.
In just 6 hours 10 tons of rubbish was cleared, 109 metres of graffiti cleaned of and 6 abandoned vehicles removed.
