The Council’s client function therefore needs someone with arboriculture experience and an understanding of how green spaces are managed.</p>
<p>To be successful in this role you must have experience and appropriate qualifications to provide advice and support on a range of open space management issues, but in particular the challenges faced by our growing stock of trees and best practice in the industry for managing green spaces.</p>

The Service requires a dynamic, motivated and organised planning professional with significant recent experience of complex major development proposals to work within our Major Development Team.</p>
<p>The role will involve the delivery of major development sites identified in our new local plan including sustainable urban extensions, an extension to the existing Loughborough University Science &amp; Enterprise Park and the regeneration of the Watermead area of Thurmaston.</p>
<p>You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people and work to tight deadlines with the minimum of supervision, exercising tact and diplomacy at all times. The role will require you to deal with a wide range of complex planning and regeneration issues and to develop creative solutions.</p>

<p>The role will involve the delivery of major development sites identified in our new local plan including sustainable urban extensions, an extension to the existing Loughborough University Science &amp; Enterprise Park and the regeneration of the Watermead area of Thurmaston. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading transformational change to deliver excellent customer service and new and more efficient business processes and will therefore make an important contribution to the Service Management Team.</p>
<p>You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people and work to tight deadlines with the minimum of supervision, exercising tact and diplomacy at all times. The role will require you to deal with a wide range of complex planning and regeneration issues and to develop creative solutions.</p>
