Answer

Thank you for your recent information request regarding planning applications on Greenfield and Brownfield land which the Council has considered.

However while the information requested is held by the Council in the form of individual planning applications it is not held in a manner which enables the aggregated data you requested to be collated easily.  The time required to locate and retrieve information regarding the specifics of each type of development  would exceed the appropriate limit for dealing with requests set out in section 12 of the Act and the Appropriate Limit and Fees Regulations.

In order to try and accommodate your request within the scope of the Act the Council could consider a request which is less wide-ranging.  Please let me know if you wish to discuss this approach further.

The link below shows all residential development applications that were made between 2004 and March 2011 which involved Greenfield or Brownfield land.

(this information is of as 31 March 2011.  The information at this link will be updated to show applications made between March 2011 and March 2012 once this information has been collated).

Further information on each application listed can be found by entering the application number into the search box on the Planning Explorer  portal of our website using the following link http://portal.charnwood.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorerAA/ApplicationSearch.aspx

Charnwood does not have any designated Greenbelt land.
