a) the total number of affordable housing units within the local authority area for each of the following years – 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12

b) within the figures for (a), the total number of social rented housing units for the following years – 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12

c) the number of new-build units approved in the local authority area in each of the following years – 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12

d) within the figures for (c), the total number of affordable new-build housing units approved in the local authority area in each of the following years – 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12

e) the total number of people currently on the local authority’s social housing waiting list (please provide the date to which the data is accurate)

f) the average waiting time of people housed by the local authority in social housing during 2011/12

g) the longest waiting time of any one person housed by the local authority in social housing during 2011/12

h) the average number of people applying to rent social housing property during 2011/12

i) the maximum number of people who applied to rent a particular social housing property during 2011/12

j) the number of pre-existing social rented housing units that became available for new tenants (e.g. previous tenant moved out) during 2011/12

a)      the total number of affordable housing units within the local authority area for each of the following years – 2008/9, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12
The total number of Social rented affordable housing units at 1st April 08 was 2282. (We do not hold the figures for Shared Ownership/ rent to buy etc before 2008.)

New affordable housing units completed since 1st April 2008:
2008/09: 131
2009/10: 152
2010/11: 192
2011/12: 201
these numbers include Social Rented, Shared Ownership, Rent to Buy, Mortgage Rescue, Homebuy Direct and First Buy.

We are unable to provide this information as it will be different for each type of property and size of household.

g)      the longest waiting time of any one person housed by the local authority in social housing during 2011/12
We are unable to provide this information in any accurate format.  This is due to the individual preferences of applicants i.e. they choose to wait for a particular property, changes in their circumstances during their time on the register (i.e. they could have had periods where their application had been suspended).
