Please supply me with full details of all expenses paid to councillors over the past two years detailing the item claimed, date, purpose and individual’s name.
Please send the data in an Excel spreadsheet as an attachment. Please mark the subject line with the name of the council and the word “expenses”.
Thank you for your recent information request for details of Councillors expenses which the Council has considered.
However while the information requested is held by the Council it is not held in a manner which enables the aggregated information you have requested to be collated easily. The time required to locate and retrieve information regarding all Councillors expenses over the last two years would exceed the appropriate limit for dealing with requests set out in section 12 of the Act and the Appropriate Limit and Fees Regulations.
You can view an overview of all Councillors Allowances and Expenses on our website: http://www.charnwood.gov.uk/pages/councillorsallowances but this does not show the full breakdown you have requested.
In order to try and accommodate your request within the scope of the Act, the Council could consider a request which is less wide-ranging, and focuses on a particular Councillor, allowance or covers a shorter time period. Please let me know if you wish to discuss this approach further.
