Answer

The council paid the security firm Bridgegate Security to provide night time street wardens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 10pm to 3am. The project ended on 31st March 2009, and the cost from 1st January 09 to 31st March 09 was £10,516.50.

The council also has a 3 year contract with Reliance Security, which commenced in 2009.  They provide building security for the main council offices, 2 business centres and Woodgate chambers.  The annual cost for the contract is £3750.  We also pay varying hourly rates of pay for a security officer to provide reception cover and to unlock and lock up the main council offices
