On street parking is enforced using parking charge notices (pcns), parking offences were decriminalised in 2007 which is when the Local Authorities starting enforcing on street parking.  Charnwood Borough Council enforces on street parking contraventions on behalf of Leicestershire County Council who are the highway authority for Leicestershire.

The number of parking charge notices issued for off street parking in the period of February 2013 to February 2014 is 2528

Please note the off street parking income will decrease significantly in the financial year 2014-15 and thereafter when the Granby Street car park method of charging is changed to pay on foot.

How many street wardens did the council employ during the period?"

Remaining staff dependant on availability carrying out environmental crime duties.

Please note:  The Street Warden service is a 7 day a week service which runs from 6.30 am until late evening so a rota is used to ensure the resource is spread evenly through the week, weekend and bank holidays.  363 days worked a year.
