What is the most expensive hourly charge for Pay & Display, Pay by Phone or Shared Use Bays in your local authority?
In total, how much did the local authority or any authorised contractor or sub-contractor receive in parking charges last year? Please include all on-street, off-street parking charges and any other charges?

1. What is the most expensive hourly charge for Pay & Display, Pay by Phone or Shared Use Bays in your local authority?
All of Charnwood Borough Council’s car parking tariffs are published on our web site and can be found at http://www.charnwood.gov.uk/pages/carparklocations
            There are a number of different tariffs but the most expensive general tariff for one hour is 60p.  
2. In total, how much did the local authority or any authorised contractor or sub-contractor receive in parking charges last year? Please include all on-street, off-street parking charges and any other charges?
The Local authority received £830,763 in parking charges across all car parks for the financial year 2012-13.  This is the ‘Gross’ income figure and does not take into account direct operational costs, overheads and maintenance costs.
3. In total, how much did the local authority or any authorised contractor or sub-contractor receive in parking fines last year?
Off Street
Leicestershire County Council – highway authority for Charnwood Borough Council received £84,618 in off street parking fines for the Borough of Charnwood in the financial year 2012-13.  This is the ‘Gross’ figure and does not include direct operational costs. This figure will significantly reduce during 2014 following the introduction of an additional Pay on Foot Car Park.
On Street
On-street Civil Parking Enforcement is the responsibility of Leicestershire County Council. The Borough Council enforce the restrictions on behalf of the County Council. The County Council have confirmed that £360,424 was collected for on street parking fines within the Borough of Charnwood in the financial year 2012-13.  This is the ‘Gross’ income figure and does not take into account direct operational costs.
