Please provide details of all food tests carried out over 2013 and 2014.
Please break this information down as follows:
1a) Date of test
b) Number of samples tested on this date
c) The type of food being tested, e.g. chicken, cheese, pasta sauce. If there is one, please include the brand name of the product
d) In each case, where the food was from, i.e. what sort of establishment was selling it - shop, restaurant, market stall, etc
e) What were you testing for, e.g. salmonella, meat identification

Charnwood Borough Council carry out microbiological sampling however Trading Standards at Leicestershire County Council are also a Food Authority and also carry out food sampling in the Borough.
Please find attached a spreadsheet of Charnwood B.C. food sampling and results from 1/1/13 to end of 2014 financial year. Tests are usually standard food microbiological tests carried out by Public Health England Microbiology Laboratory, i.e. total viable counts, coliforms, salmonella etc.
Any unsatisfactory results were followed up with advice and where necessary resampling. No formal enforcement action was found to be necessary.
