How many 1) council tax benefit claims and 2) Housing Benefit claims have been made from self employed people in the years:
and what % does this represent of all claims for these benefits in each of the years.
We do not hold a breakdown of the information requested which would allow us to answer the questions in your request. We can however provide the following information:
139 self-employed claims in 2013 which could be for either Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or both
168 self-employed claims in 2012 which could be for either Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or both
147 self-employed claims in 2011 which could be for either Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or both
Our system shows a rough annual average figure of 4,000 new claims - excluding self-employed claims.
There is currently 313 live self-employed claims out of a total of approx.11,100 live claims
