Question

(1) How much did the Council spend or are you budgeted to spend on Christmas lights in your local authority area (a) this year and (b) last year?
(2) In how many locations is (a) the council funding Christmas lights this year and (b) what was the comparable number of locations last year?
(3) Are you offering free parking in high streets this Christmas. If so, on how many days will this policy operate?
(4) Do you offer a free Christmas tree recycling service? Does this include collection?

(1)    How much did the Council spend or are you budgeted to spend on Christmas lights in your local authority area
(a) this year Total budget £42,600

(2)    In how many locations is
(a) the council funding Christmas lights this year 1 – Loughborough Town Centre
(b) what was the comparable number of locations last year? Same as above
(3)    Are you offering free parking in high streets this Christmas. If so, on how many days will this policy operate? High Street Parking is already free across the whole borough, subject to relevant Parking restrictions in place, i.e. double yellow lines and limited waiting etc. Off street parking is provided free in the Towns and villages of Anstey, Sileby, Barrow, Quorn, Mountsorrel, and Woodhouse. Within Loughborough Off street parking is provided, with permanent free parking for 37 disabled spaces at Granby Street Car Park. For the 4 Sundays in December we offer free parking at all the Town Centre Car Parks
(4)    Do you offer a free Christmas tree recycling service? Does this include collection? Yes - Residents will be able to leave their Christmas tree out for collection between the 6th & 17th January.
