Description | Primary School. Late C19/Early C20. Freestyle, combining Neoclassical, Domestic Revival & Queen Anne design elements. Red brick Arranged in 2 parallel linked blocks. Pitched clay tile roofs with transverse gable at centre of Howard Street frontage and Baroque style lantern at ridge intersection. Ridge lantern also to Rendell Street block. Moulded glazed tiles to parapet cappings, hood above Howard St serliano style window and ?fascias? along gable rake. Similar tiles with dentil detail under deep eaves. Generally, stone lintols with exaggerated key stones to penings. Multi-paned casement windows. Storey height ?dormer?window to Rendell Street frontage. |
