Work has finished on a £25,000 upgrade to Cumberland Road Park, Loughborough which has seen new play equipment installed.
A play house, slide, climbing frame and a basket swing have been added to the park along with a new picnic table and log seating.
The work was carried out by Charnwood Borough Council and is funded by money from Section 106 agreements, following development in the area.
Councillor Hilary Fryer, Lead Member for Leisure and Open Spaces said: “It’s fantastic to see the park transformed with new facilities.
“The park is a lovely place for children to come and enjoy and this is a great example of how new development can bring benefits to the area.”
When developers receive planning permission they sometimes sign Section 106 Agreements which are commitments to improving the community they are building in.
