A second phase of public consultation has been launched as part of a review of parish electoral arrangements in Charnwood.
People can now have their say on 13 proposed changes to some existing arrangements and boundaries for towns and parishes in Charnwood as part of the Council’s community governance review.
The proposals, which have been made following an initial consultation held in the spring, include changes to the number of councillors on some parish councils, adjusting parish boundaries and creating new parish meetings.

The deadline for responses is October 6, 2017.
Adrian Ward, Head of Strategic Support at Charnwood Borough Council, said: “We would encourage people to have a look at the proposals and tell us what they think.
“The consultation is open until October and the council is due to make a final decision in January next year.”
The Council is writing to all parish and town councils in the borough and to residents who live in areas where proposals are being made to change the parish boundaries to inform them about the consultation.
Community governance reviews are carried out every 10 to 15 years to ensure arrangements remain reflective of local communities, and to take account of any changes, for example from new housing developments which result in increases in population.
