Charnwood communities are being encouraged to have their say on how open spaces are managed and could be improved in the future.
Whether you live, work or visit the borough, Charnwood Borough Council is asking for views as part of a consultation to help the Council decide how open spaces are maintained in up until 2036, including providing new sport and recreation facilities.
Councillor Hilary Fryer, Cabinet Member for Open Spaces and Leisure said: “We’re lucky in Charnwood to have a number of fantastic open spaces, including play areas and parks such as Queen’s Park and Southfields Park.
“We’re committed to maintaining these areas to the highest standards, which includes planning for future improvements.
“This consultation is a chance for people to tell us what’s important to them when visiting these areas.
“I’d encourage people to tell us what they like about our open spaces and what could be improved, so that we can continue to ensure they are being enjoyed by all.”
The deadline for consultation responses is August 31. To give your views visit: www.charnwood.gov.uk/currentconsultations
