A consultation about polling districts in Charnwood gets underway on October 1, 2018 and people are urged to have a say.
The borough council is required to review polling districts, places and stations every five years to ensure voting arrangements are up to date and fit for purpose.
This is an opportunity for people to recommend new polling locations and the Council is particularly keen to hear views on any access issues.
Geoff Parker, electoral registration officer, said: “This is an important review and it gives people the opportunity to put forward suggestions to improve local voting arrangements in time for the local council elections due in May 2019.
“We are particularly keen to hear from people who may have views on access arrangements to polling stations as we want to make sure everyone can exercise their right to vote with ease.”
There are more than 133,000 register voters in Charnwood and currently there are 76 polling districts.
