The team were also a finalist in the Best Change of Use of an Existing Building award for their diligence in achieving building excellence in the Quorn Lodge Farm scheme, which saw the original building renovated and converted into spacious self-catering accommodation.
Councillor Tom Barkley, lead member for building control, said: “Congratulations to our building control team, who have been working hard throughout the year, including throughout the pandemic.
“These awards are significant because we have been nominated by the practices involved, which illustrates the customer-focused approach the team takes and the value they provide to new developments.
“It’s great to see them recognised for their partnership with HSSP Architects Ltd and Quorn Lodge. Great collaboration between the Council and businesses in the industry is important, and the team are clearly excelling in these areas. Long may it continue.”
