Vegan Market held in Loughborough proved to be a huge success

Scores of people packed a vegan market which visited Loughborough town centre on Sunday, May 15.
The event, run by Vegan Market Co. in partnership with Charnwood Borough Council, had over 30 stalls which included vegan street food, craft cheeses, ethical clothing, and jewellery.
It was the first time the vegan market had visited Loughborough’s Market place and came soon after the popular Ceramics in Charnwood drew in visitors to the town centre.
Cllr Jenny Bokor, the Council’s lead member for Loughborough, said: “It was fantastic to see so many residents visit the vegan market which came to the town over the weekend.
“We are so proud of Loughborough Market with our retail market held on Thursday and Saturdays and a vintage market on a Friday.
“These two specialist markets that have been held have proved to be a huge success with so many residents coming down to visit market traders and enjoy the products that they have on offer.
“We will continue to look into holding specialist markets, to help support the town centre and bring people to Loughborough.”
