Residents and visitors enjoyed a vegan market as it returned to Loughborough on Sunday, March 12.

The event, delivered by Charnwood Borough Council in partnership with the Vegan Market Co.  had stalls offering vegan street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, ethical clothing and jewellery, charity stalls and much more.

Loughborough hosted two vegan markets last year and has another two planned in 2023.

Cllr Jenny Bokor, the Council’s lead member for Loughborough, said: “I’m so glad to see everyone enjoying the vegan market once again and it was a great atmosphere in the market place.

“We are very proud of our markets in Loughborough with a retail market on Thursday and Saturdays and a vintage market taking place on Friday each week.

“Lots of exciting events are planned for the town in 2023 and it has been a fantastic start to the year.”

The Council is planning an expansive programme of events in Loughborough town centre and market place this year. To find out more about events in 2023, visit our news story.
