Emily Corrigan, Head of Fundraising: "It’s an honour to be chosen by the Mayor of Charnwood as one of her charities for her civic year, along with The Dogs Trust. We are looking forward to an entertaining night, a great meal and plenty of fundraising on 21 March. What a great way to celebrate the Mayor’s fantastic year – she has been so supportive of LWA and we have already raised hundreds of pounds to help domestic abuse survivors."
Living Without Abuse is a domestic abuse and sexual violence charity that covers Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland.
They support all genders and ages and specialise in helping younger people who have been affected by abuse. They have a dedicated helpline (08 08 80 200 28, Monday – Saturday, 8am – 8pm) for people wanting support, people who are worried about someone else or worried about their own behaviour.
Each year LWA supports over 9,000 adult and child victims of domestic abuse.
