Advice is available for Charnwood residents on ways to keep your homes warmer and energy bills lower through the Leicestershire County Council Warm Homes service.

Warm Homes Officers can help anybody living in cold housing to keep their home warm and cut their fuel bills by:

  • Providing practical support, e.g. programming central heating
  • Checking people are on the right energy tariff
  • Checking eligibility for heating and insulation grants and for minor works, such as draught proofing and boiler servicing.

Keeping warm

It is important to stay healthy during the cold winter months - this means keeping yourself and your home warm.  For many, rising fuel costs mean that keeping a home warm is difficult.

The Warm Homes Service offers free, impartial advice on keeping your home warm, heating it safely and keeping energy bills affordable.

Leicestershire County Council have produced a leaflet offering advice on keeping warm and staying healthy: Your Guide to Staying Warm at Home This Winter.
