Charnwood Museum is situated in the beautiful Victorian surroundings of Queen's Park in Loughborough.
The museum is open all year round, with free admission to both temporary and permanent exhibitions. There are also regular talks by the Friends of the Museum, and monthly get-togethers at the Local History Cafe, alongside a host of events and workshops for children and their families.
Car parks near Charnwood Museum are situated on: Granby Street, Beehive Lane, Browns Lane. We have one disabled parking spot at the front of Charnwood Museum; please call us on 01509 233754 for details.

- Tuesday to Saturday: 10am - 4:30pm
- Sunday: 2pm - 5pm
Opening hours October to March
- Tuesday to Saturday: 10am - 3pm
- Bank Holidays: Open Good Friday as usual, closed on Bank Holiday Mondays.
Queen's Park Café
Attached to Charnwood Museum, Queen's Park Café offers a seasonal menu catering to a wide audience with a variety of hot and cold food and drinks.

Charnwood museum shop
Charnwood Museum has a well-presented, dedicated retail space which has a variety of products reflecting the themes, displays and exhibitions of the Museum.
You can find a wide range of products available:
- Pocket money toys for all ages
- Souvenirs of Loughborough and Charnwood
- Fossils, Minerals and Gemstones of all sizes
- Books – a variety of titles including a large local history selection
- Vintage and nostalgic Ladybird book items
The museum also stocks a selection of items from local artists and makers; supporting local creative talent.
There’s something for all budgets and all sales in the shop contribute to the sustainability of Charnwood Museum. The merchandise is always changing so come and take a look!
