This planning application is linked to the application above. In the event that a new school is granted planning permission and provided, it is proposed by the applicant that the existing school site would be re-developed with 16 dwellings.

In the event that planning application P/12/1741/2 (as detailed above) does not take place the applicant has indicated their intention to progress with this scheme.
Planning approval for the principle of this proposal has already been approved earlier this year (Outline application P/10/1886/2), when an appeal to the Secretary of State was upheld. This application is for 157 dwellings with associated access, open space and landscaping.
This application has no provision for a new primary school, but does include 30% affordable housing.

This application has been amended and now seeks planning permission for residential development (maximum of 250 dwellings) and a new relief road between Mountsorrel Lane from the end of Walton Way to Loughborough Road (old A6). This application also proposes the provision of 30% affordable housing.

(Reference to a school and medical centre has been deleted and the affordable housing provision has increased from 5%)

AN APPEAL AGAINST NONE DETERMINATION HAS BEEN LODGED WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE. PLANS COMMITTEE RESOLVED TO INFORM THE PLANNING INSPECTOR THAT THEY ARE MINDED TO REFUSE PLANNING PERMISSION 20 JUNE 2013
