Two versions of the register are kept - the full register and the open register.

The Full Register lists the names and addresses of everyone who is registered to vote. Credit reference agencies can use this version, but only to check names and addresses of those applying for credit and other purposes specified in law. This register can also be used for law enforcement.

The Open Register is available for general sale and can be bought by any person, company or organisation to be used for commercial activities such as marketing. You have the right to opt out of the open register at any time.

If you would like your details to be removed from the open register you should complete the below online form, Filling in this from will not remove you from the full electoral register, and your right to vote won’t change.
