Overdue payment reminders

On Sunday September 20 between 4.30-6.30am customers may experience online payment disruptions due to essential maintenance taking place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

From Monday March 4, 2019, Charnwood Borough Council’s revenues section will be sending out reminders via a variety of methods to all customers who have a current overdue instalment for their council tax.

The messages will be sent via email from the council’s email address, by text message to your mobile or as a recorded telephone message from 0345 609 1258. 

The messages will provide you with details of the overdue amount and give information and links on how to make payment in full or to make a special arrangement, set up Direct Debits or to get access to Debt Advice if required. 

This new means of contacting chargepayers with overdue amounts will hopefully help people manage their payments and reduce the risk of them getting formal recovery documentation.
