Any British citizen living overseas can be registered to vote in the UK as long as they lived and were registered to vote in the UK within the last 15 years (or, in some cases, if you were too young to register when you were in the UK).
From January 2024, central government intends to introduce changes for British citizens living overseas with the introduction of the Elections Act 2022. As a result, there will no longer be a 15-year limit on voting rights.
