Loughborough Fair will return in 2023 between Wednesday November 8 and Saturday November 11.

You can only apply to attend the annual Loughborough Fair if you are the person with the established rights (including permanent transfer of rights).

If you are the person with the established rights but you wish to sublet your ground for this year, this is now included in the online application form. The online application will require you to upload the sublettees documentation, please have this ready.

All applications need to be completed and submitted by Friday August 18, 2023.

Before starting the form/s you must also have all the information and supporting documents ready and ensure that you complete ALL questions for each ride/stall/unit you are intending to bring.

If any of your paperwork expires before the fair takes place, for example your public liability insurance, you must still upload your current documents now but email an 'in date' copy later before the fair starts to fairs@charnwood.gov.uk. If you do not have all the necessary paperwork by the time of the fair you will not be allowed on the site.

Late applications will not be considered, and your ground will be forfeited.

Only one application is necessary even if you are bringing multiple rides etc.

ALL showmen with the established rights must complete the online fair application as this is the main application and covers questions about:

  • Bringing your own generator in a lorry/vehicle that will remain on site
  • Bringing your own stand-alone generator (no vehicle will remain on site)
  • Only need mains power supplied by the Council
  • You require to plug into the generators hired by Charnwood Borough Council
  • Plus living vans, etc.

If you are intending to sell food and/or drink at the Fair, we recommend that you read our Food Safety and Hygiene guidance. You can also download our handy Food safety preparation checklist. These are for your use only and NOT to be returned to the Markets, Fairs and Town Centre Operations Office.

Terms and Conditions

It is important that you read the Loughborough Fair terms and conditions for lettings and conditions and regulations for tenants below as you will be asked to digitally sign on your online application form that you agree to them:

Following the completion of the regeneration of the Bedford Square Gateway Project, this is a gentle reminder that you must always ensure that you adequately cover and protect the ground your ride/stall sits on.

This includes the provision of an oil spillage kit as any spillages, stains etc. found following removal of equipment will be dealt with by an independent contractor and charged on a case-by-case basis.
