As Places of Worship reopen following the easing of the Coronavirus restrictions, our Environmental Health team are here to help and offer you support and guidance.
Guidance has been designed specifically for your sector and can be found on the Government website.
You will need to put together a Covid-19 risk assessment and detail all of the control measures being put into place to protect the safety of your staff, worshippers, volunteers and anyone else affected by your onsite activities. The risk assessment only needs to be written down if your Place of Worship has 5 or more employees. To help you do this, we have attached a blank Covid-19 risk assessment template for you to complete.
The HSE website is also a good source of information regarding risk assessments.
Social distancing signage that could be used and printed off for your worshippers can be found on the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) website.
There is also a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) training video that may be useful for staff training if your risk assessment requires it. You can watch it on YouTube.
If you would like any further information, please contact the Environmental Health team on 01509 634656.
