The Charnwood, Melton and Rushcliffe Armed Forces Covenant project is working with Loughborough Wellbeing Centre to explore the idea of setting up a Wellbeing Hub for Armed Forces Veterans in Loughborough.

It's hoped the hub will be delivered alongside charity partners and the NHS who can provide specialist guidance and advice.

The Veterans Wellbeing Hub which would be based in Loughborough could provide a safe and secure place for veterans offering support, advice, food and drink, and friendship with other veterans. The hub will also provide veterans opportunities to take part in creative and physical activities, as well as access to a sessional worker for additional individualised holistic support.

The Wellbeing Hub is very much in the early stages and we would welcome any thoughts and feedback to help us shape this new provision should the funding bid be successful.

Survey

Views were sought from people in Charnwood and across the rest of Leicestershire, Leicester, Rutland and Rushcliffe in Nottinghamshire as it is hoped these areas may also create hubs in the future.

Views gathered in the survey will be used for the Loughborough bid and possibly future bids in those other areas.

We created a short survey that closed on Friday July 16, 2021.

The results from the survey will form part of a funding bid to the Armed Forces Covenant.

The report resulting from the survey can be found below:
