Walking football is an informal session which aims to increase the levels of physical activity for adults and encourage them to take up football without the full demands of the traditional game.
It is aimed at being fun and accessible with an emphasis on the social element incorporated throughout the activity. The sessions at Loughborough Leisure Centre are delivered by our partner, Community Projects Plus.
What is walking football?
Walking football is for adults who want to get back into football, those who have never played or people who have had time out of playing due to a long term injury.
As the name suggests, it is is non-contact and anyone that sprints, runs or jogs while the ball is in play will be penalised with a free-kick awarded to the other team.
When do sessions run?
- Mondays and Fridays - 6pm to 7pm at the Loughborough Leisure Centre
- Fridays - 3pm-4pm (alternate weeks) at the Loughborough Dynamo (Nanpantan Sports Ground)
