This talk has been created and will be delivered by Elizabeth Wilkinson, the Dyslexic Dyslexia Consultant. You will gain an insight into the basics of dyslexia as well as highlighting the difference between dyslexia and Meares-Irlan Syndrome (often confused with dyslexia).
Elizabeth will use a selection of simulation activities to give everyone a personal insight into the difficulties dyslexics face on a day to day basis, to help increase the understanding that dyslexia is about so much more than reading, writing and spelling!
Elizabeth herself is dyslexic as is most of her family which allows her the knowledge and experience to offer a unique and worthwhile learning experience.
