Sun 18th August, 2019, 3pm to 4pm

Band in the Park – Sunday 18th August 2019 - 3:00pm
The annual summer event, Band on the Park, has been popular with residents and visitors to Quorn for many years and this year will be no exception. Hathern Brass Band, whose history can be traced back to 1856, will be performing in the beautiful Stafford Orchard in the heart of the village.
The programme will be made up of both classical and contemporary pieces and performances will take place at 3.00pm to 3.45pm and 4.15pm to 5.00pm. The band will be under a marquee so the performance should go ahead despite showers but, if the rain is heavy, then the band will perform in the main hall at the Old School on the edge of the park.
Stafford Orchard offers plenty of grassy space for picnics in sun or shade, an adventure playground for children and a cooling brook under magnificent weeping willows. The Old School Tearooms nearby offers cream teas and ice cream.
This is a free event sponsored by the Parish Council and is open to all, so pack up a picnic, bring the dog, the children and something to sit on and join the community, hopefully in the sun, at Band in the Park on Sunday 18th August starting at 3pm.
