Most people would be surprised to think of Italy as a bird watching destination but it's actually very good. The talk will cover some of the birds to be seen and we'll look at the work going on to protect those birds.
David is the volunteer who has been looking after UK LIPU branch since 1998 and he'll tell us all about it. LIPU is the BirdLife partner in Italy and is unusual in having a branch in UK.
We get the best speakers and also have one of the best lecture theatres on the Loughborough University campus - tiered padded seats. wheelchair access and a sound system with a hearing loop - it is of more than adequate size for our audience, which gives everybody that bit of extra space.
Location: Lecture Theatre U020, Brockington Building, Loughborough University, Epinal Way, Loughborough. There is ample free parking right outside the building.
This is a Loughborough RSPB Group event. For more details please take a look at our website - https://ww2.rspb.org.uk/groups/loughborough/
