“Heart-y” grub and “love-ly” gifts will be available at upcoming Loughborough markets when they have a Valentine’s theme.

Heart shaped balloons will deck the Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, February 10 in preparation of the most romantic day of the year.

Retailers at the Farmers’ Market plan to celebrate by selling themed goods. These include Brockleby’s Farm, which will be selling heart shaped pies (these sold out fast last year so get there early!), Melton Cheeseboard, which will have heart shaped cheeses, and Just Soaps, which be selling heart shaped red soap.

It is hoped that Blackbrook Traditional Meats, which is fairly new to the market, will even be selling heart shaped steaks!!

Producers from across the Midlands come to Loughborough's Farmers Market to sell a wide range of interesting, organic and healthy food and drink.

The overall quality of products on offer is of an excellent standard and includes such items as; poultry, various types of meat (including Ostrich meat), local wine, bread, fruit and veg, homemade sauces, cheeses, honey, eggs, homemade chutneys/pickles/jams and therapeutic products to name but a few.

Stallholders bring a wealth of expert knowledge about their specialised products and are happy to offer information to customers about how the produce has been grown/reared, as well as offering advice about the best way to prepare and cook them.
