Stage 1: Pre-Submission Key Stakeholder Consultation

The Council sent options for the Science Park as part of the Core Strategy Issues and Options document to key stakeholders in June 2005 to gain their initial views. It set out the broad issues and options of where to locate the Science Park and asked for comments about the proposed sites during June and July. A copy of the document and a summary of the comments we received can be downloaded below.

Sustainability Appraisal

Sustainability Appraisal Final Scoping Report for Core Strategy & Loughborough Science Park DPDs

A draft Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report was published for consultation with key stakeholders in July 2005. The Scoping Report sets the scope and level of detail of the information that will be included in the sustainability appraisal reports for the above listed Development Plan Documents. It includes:

• The objectives of other relevant plans and strategies that will be taken into account;
• An environmental, social and economic baseline statement for Charnwood;
• Identifies sustainability issues for Charnwood;
• Sets out how sustainability objectives, sustainability framework and method for undertaking sustainability appraisal.
