Application Details

  • Application NumberP/24/0710/2
  • Site Address60 Main Street Woodhouse Eaves Leicestershire LE12 8RZ
  • Application TypeTree works Conservation Area
  • Development TypeNot used
  • ProposalTrees belonging to No.60 Main Street T1 - Field Maple, (Acer campestre) This tree now has a south eastern swept form after the removal of the Eastern Red Cedar. Ideally this tree would be removed to allow more space to the adjacent magnolia, and allow for a better view of the weeping ash that is behind this tree. Take down to ground-level T2 - Yew, (Taxus baccata) Reduce height down to / Reduce to the same height as the adjacent yew topiary hedge. Cut back remaining growth to be in line with the adjacent yew topiary T3 - Yew, (Taxus baccata) Reduce height down to / Reduce to the same height as the adjacent yew topiary hedge. Cut back remaining growth to be in line with the adjacent yew topiary Trees belonging to the neighbouring property T4 – Eastern red Cedar, remove branch extending from the tree into the Yew Topiary back to where it is braced within. This will allow more light into the area and allow T2 and T3 to more light to regenerate. The upper crown of this tree has become more likely to suffer storm damage due to the loss of the other Eastern Red Cedar in this group and the tight unions throughout the crown. We would recommend a height reduction of up to 4m. T5 - Neighbouring Yew Tree, (Taxus baccata) This tree has been left exposed from the removal of the Eastern Red Cedar and will likely become more exposed due to the works described above. For this reason a height reduction of up to 3m is recommended
