Below are the details of all consultations carried out by Charnwood Borough Council throughout 2021.

Consultations 2021

Tenancy agreement consultation

We consulted tenants over a new tenancy agreement and asked to hear the views of both existing Charnwood secure and introductory tenants.

The existing tenancy agreement is now over ten years old and the service needs to update it in line with changes in the law, regulation and recognised good practice.

In order to replace the existing tenancy agreement with the new one, the service consulted tenants and considered any comments made about the proposed new agreement, before informing tenants of when the new agreement will take effect.

We have written to tenants with the new agreement enclosed plus some information designed to help them see what changes the service is planning to make.

The consultation ended on Friday November 19, 2021.

Full details can be found on the tenancy agreement consultation webpage.

Residents' survey

The Council carried out its residents' survey in October 2021. The survey is carried out every two years. It was carried out by an organisation called MEL Research and it was a telephone survey to gather feedback on how satisfied residents are with Council services and life in the borough. If you have any issues or concerns, please email communications@charnwood.gov.uk.

Hathern Community Woodland

Charnwood Borough Council held a consultation to let local residents have a say on the proposal for a community woodland.

Charnwood Borough Council is working with Hathern Parish Council on the project which is looking to create a 15-acre woodland on council-owned land off Golden Square in Hathern.

The proposed Hathern Community Woodland project would see around 14,000 trees planted on the site.

The consultation ran until Thursday, August 26, 2021.
