A Loughborough-based patisserie has opened its doors to customers at Loughborough Leisure Centre.

Bom Bom Patisserie is operating the new café based at the leisure centre which is owned by Charnwood Borough Council and operated on its behalf by Fusion Lifestyle.

The café is one of four across the town with the other premises based at Canal House, Derwent Drive and Loughborough University’s Student Union.

The business, which is owned by married couple Dan and Marta Child, was founded in 2016 and has proved popular with customers ever since, serving fresh coffee, bakes and savoury food in each of their locations. They also have a variety of vegan and gluten-free options.

Cllr Anne Gray, the Council’s lead member for leisure facilities, said: “I am so pleased to welcome local business Bom Bom Patisserie to Loughborough Leisure Centre.

“The café has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to meet with friends, go after using the facilities or wait for children when they are in the soft play area, taking part in classes or swimming lessons.

“I’m sure customers and visitors to the leisure centre will enjoy Bom Bom Patisserie and everything they have to offer. I’ve tried both their coffee and sweet treats and can say that they are excellent!”

Bom Bom Patisserie is based on the third floor of the leisure centre and has direct access to the soft play area and views of the swimming pool.

Owner, Dan Child said: “We are delighted to have opened at Loughborough Leisure Centre and we are really happy with the café following a refurbishment.

“We have a great variety of food and drink available to customers and also have a wide range of vegan options too.

“Myself and my wife, Marta are proud that Bom Bom Patisserie has been part of Loughborough for the last 8 years and we hope to see lots of our new and existing customers at the leisure centre.”
