Councillors' Allowances and Expenses

The Borough Council has received and accepted recommendations from an Independent Remuneration Panel in respect of the basic and special responsibility allowances paid to councillors:

Therefore the the scheme of allowances has been updated in accordance with the Panel's recommendations, with effect from 13th May 2013:

The Council believes in openess and transparency. Each year the Council publishes the amount paid to Councillors and Independent Members in allowances and the amounts claimed in expenses.

Claims and payments made since the 2002/2003 financial year (April through to the following March) are attached:
