Food Business Partnerships

What is the Partnership About?

The Charnwood Food Business Partnership consists of proprietors of local food businesses and Environmental Health Officers who specialise in food safety. The aim of the partnership is to improve the services provided by your local Environmental Health Department and increase our understanding of the difficulties experienced by local business. Consultation will be carried out by means of short questionnaires which will be issued approximately three times a year. You will be kept up to date on the work of the partnership and credited on any document produced as a result of the partnership

Who is Involved?

There are currently 30 food businesses involved in the partnership. These include small retail shops, pubs and restaurant, as well as larger educational establishments and national food manufacturers.

Benefits of Joining?

As a member of the partnership you would have the opportunity to comment on the initiatives and work carried out by the council's Food Safety Team and provide a customer's view on the services we provide. You would be involved in decisions which affect food businesses within the Borough, including your own.
