| Description | Road Bridge over Grand Union Canal. Perhaps Late C18 in origin but substantially rebuilt C19/C20. Blue brick faced elliptical barrel vault with red brick parapet and abutments. Parapet finished into buttressed piers at each end with intermediate piers dividing span into 3 bays. Stone coping to parapets surmounted by shaped stone cap above each pier. C19 bollards at head of re-built steps down to towpath. C20 balustrade. Appearance disfigured by C20 services hardware. |
