Description | Shop Premises. Originally Bailey & Simpkin Tailors. Now Etam. Early C20, with ?modern? shop front and fascia. Neoclassical styling. Red brick. Stone string courses and round arched window heads. Stone cornice surmounted by upstanding brick parapet. Concealed flat roof. 2 storeys. 3 bays framed by brick pilasters. Half round brick pilasters expressed above 1st floor, carried on decorated corbel stone. Round arches above 1st floor openings feature exaggerated voussoirs and key consoles. ?Tympanum? contains a stone relief of putti style figures. Original shaped parapet removed Mid C20. |
