Description

Shop Premises. Built, 1905 (cartouche on parapet reads ?AD MCMV?). Italianate/Baroque Revival styling. Red brick with paired shaped gables. Elaborate stone eaves string course and balustrade between gables. Swithland slate pitched roof. 2 storeys. 3 stone dressed arched head window openings with exaggerated stone voussoirs. Each window with 6 paned casements. Upper three panes with leaded light decoration. Substantial mullions and transomes with Italianate modelling. Composition spoilt by crude modern shop fronts. Worthy of sympathetic restoration.
