Description

Parish room, formerly Infant School. Dated 1847. Coursed square granite with stone dressings and Swithland slate roof with small central louvre. In Tudor style with hoodmoulds and shouldered terracotta coped gables with kneelers. One storey of two 3 light centre opening casements. Central projecting gable. Here Tudor arched doorway, the hoodmould with head stops. 4 panelled door. Over this a stone tablet carved with shield inscribed ?L 1847? and earl?s coronet over. In front of building are stone piers and low walls with iron railings and pair of gates. The railings and gates have spear head finials and there is an iron arch over the gates.
